These high-quality coffee beans are grown in the Los Yungas region of Bolivia at an altitude of 1,700 meters. This coffee is characterized by its juicy, bright acidity reminiscent of dried pineapple and its rich sweetness reminiscent of brown honey. When cooled, the coffee reveals a refreshing cardamom-like and floral aroma, creating a deep, multi-layered flavor.
This coffee, with its fruity and vibrant flavor, pairs perfectly with caramel tarts and pineapple cake. It also pairs well with Japanese sweets made with brown sugar syrup and baked goods containing nuts. For a light breakfast, we recommend pairing it with yogurt and croissants.

[Production background]
This lot is produced in the Nueva Rusta community in the Los Yungas region of Bolivia. Producer Carlos Callejas moved from the Altiplano, an area nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, to focus on coffee cultivation. He has been a member of Bolivia's Central Asociados de Productores de Café (CENAPROC) cooperative since 2006, where he has been working to improve the quality of his coffee.
This coffee is made from hand-picked cherries and processed through a selective washed process, resulting in a dense, premium quality coffee, crafted with expert skill and careful selection.

[Regional characteristics]
Los Yungas is a coffee-producing region located in La Paz, Bolivia, characterized by a cool highland climate and fertile volcanic soil. In this region, small-scale farmers primarily cultivate coffee using traditional farming methods with consideration for the natural environment. This results in coffee with a fruity and well-balanced flavor.

[Relationship between the national economy and the coffee industry]

In Bolivia, coffee is one of the country's important exports and a major source of income for many farmers. In the Los Yungas region in particular, small-scale farmers are working to produce high-quality specialty coffee. The government and cooperatives aim to improve farmers' lives and promote regional development through technical assistance and market development.
