Honduras Mario Moreno Pacas Washed

A refreshing cup with a gentle green apple-like acidity and delicate floral notes. As it cools, a soft sweetness reminiscent of dates and milk chocolate slowly unfolds, creating a beautifully smooth and comforting drinking experience.

This Pacas variety from Mario Moreno is a coffee we have continued to purchase since the early days of Terra Coffee Roasters. This marks our fourth year releasing it, and every year it delivers the same reliable quality and clean, expressive character.

Mario Moreno is one of six siblings and inherited his farm from his father, Daniel Moreno. Together, the Moreno family built their own wet mill, raised beds, and solar dryers to improve the processing and overall quality of their specialty coffee.

In 2010, with the support of the green coffee exporter San Vicente, Mario began producing his first specialty micro-lots. Since then, his coffees have continued to be traded as specialty coffee.

Mario’s coffee reflects the deep knowledge of his father Daniel, who has been involved in coffee cultivation for over 50 years, as well as the influence of his brother Miguel, who already had experience producing specialty coffee.

The Moreno family also shares their knowledge and equipment with neighboring farmers, helping improve quality across the local community. Their success is built on generations of knowledge, passion, and dedication.
