Finca El Progreso is located in Sierra de Las Minas, Guatemala, at an altitude of 1,450–1,650 meters. Shaped by rugged mountain terrain and its proximity to the Caribbean Sea, this region is known for its dynamic and varied climate.
With significant shifts in temperature and rainfall throughout the year, the humid tropical environment contributes depth and complexity to the cup, resulting in a profile with refined sweetness, structure, and clarity.
Producer Teodoro Engelhardt began his journey in coffee in 1999, working alongside his father for 13 years and building his knowledge through hands-on experience. After his father’s passing, he chose to continue the family legacy as a fourth-generation coffee producer, carrying forward generations of knowledge and dedication to quality.

Process
This coffee is produced using a washed process, in which ripe cherries are carefully harvested, depulped, fermented, and then fully washed. The result is a cup with clarity, clean structure, and a well-defined sweetness.
In this lot, soft dried apple-like fruit notes are balanced by mellow sweetness reminiscent of nuts and milk chocolate, followed by a refined black tea-like finish that gives the cup a calm and elegant character.
