About Astrid Medina
Finca Buena Vista is located in the mountainous region of Planadas, Tolima. Established in 2005, the farm is now run by Astrid Medina and her husband, Raúl Antonio Durán.
In 2006, Astrid inherited 3.5 hectares of land from her father. Over time, she acquired additional plots from her siblings and now owns a 15-hectare farm.
A Diverse Farm
The farm grows a diverse range of varieties, including Caturra, Colombia, Castillo, Geisha, and Pink Bourbon.
Astrid focuses on bringing out the distinct character of each variety while respecting the farm’s high-altitude environment and natural conditions.
Cup of Excellence
In 2015, Astrid won first place in the Colombia Cup of Excellence. Her dedication to quality and cultivation has earned recognition from coffee professionals around the world.
Her coffee reflects not only technical skill, but also years of care for her family, her land, and her community.
